I grew up in a Christian home and became a Christian when I was 15 years old. After graduating from high school in Kelso, Washington, in 1967, I enrolled in Bible college with two goals and one disclaimer. Goal one: I wanted to strengthen my faith and prepare to win others to Christ. Goal two: I knew I didn't want to become a pastor, because I couldn't imagine myself spending many hours per week sitting in an office studying! I have been a pastor for the last 33 years! I spent 17 years in Eugene, Oregon, 5 in Boise, Idaho and the past 11 years here in Anchorage.
My wife, Deanna, is a Women's Pastor at Faith Christian Community. We have two sons, Ken and Joel, and one daughter, Tamara. We also have five terrific grandchildren. Each of our children and their spouses are Christians and are involved in their local church. (Tami's husband, Joel Brown, is our Youth Pastor.) |
