Deanna Holsinger has been married since 1969 to Senior Pastor, Steve. During the first season of their marriage, they lived for 17 years in Eugene, Oregon, raising three children and ministering at Garden Way Church. Deanna has worked throughout their marriage to find the balance between partnering with her husband in ministry and being who God created her to be. When the youngest of their three children
entered first grade, she returned to school to become a nurse. She received her ADN in 1984 from Lane Community College and began a 15-year career as a surgical nurse. They moved to Boise, Idaho in 1988, when Steve accepted the position of director of Intermountain Church Planters
Association.
During their time in Idaho, she returned to college to finish a BSN degree, while continuing to work at St. Luke's Hospital. They moved to
Alaska in 1993 as "empty-nesters" and are thoroughly enjoying this season of their life. Deanna switched careers in 1999, quitting her job
as a surgical nurse at Providence Hospital to become a women's pastors at Faith Christian Community. She loves being a grandmother
(ask to see the pictures!), traveling to remote corners of the globe with Steve, and using what God has taught her to mentor and encourage
other women in their journeys. |
